Final Class! May 3rd
Congratulations! You’ve made it to our last branding class! Class starts at 9:00am. To tie up the semester please bring the following items.
Please provide an labeled envelope to hold the following physical work:
- final book (or turn it into my mailbox (3rd fl Brown) by 5pm Monday, May 7th)
- final mock up of your full stationery system: letterhead, envelope, business cards
digital archive requirement:
folder labeled: firstname_lastname which includes the following:- PDF of your book in spreads
- 2-5 separate images of your final stationary: one full shot of all stationery together, 2-3 detail shots
Pick up your work Wednesday May 9th from mail area, brown 3rd floor.For those of you who will be leaving before May 9thyou may take your book after class but you are required to shoot and provide quality final image documentation of your book to me by Wednesday May 9th.GOOD LUCK! -

Homework due Thur, Apr 5
The following needs to shared in digital form during your meeting this thursday
- first draft design of signage
- book design size and first draft layouts
- spreads on brand story and identity work
Consider production when you choose your final book size. Lulu and Blurb have lots of sizes or have choose to have complete control and print it yourself or at Alphagraphics here in Baltimore.
The number of pages depend on how you are telling your story. This could take 3 spreads or 10 spreads….it’s up to you as the designer and the narrative story you are building about your city.

Get a 15% discount when you pay in cash, get them to print your double sided pages and coil or saddle stitched on site. You may also take the trimmed pages and perfect bind on your own.

You may also use an online book publisher. Due to shipping times, I’ll allow you to give me the book by Monday, May 7th as long as you provide digital archives and publish to issuu on the final class May 3rd.
